Tuesdays With Dorie - Rugelach

Sorry fellow TWDrs. Because of our kitchen remodeling project (overwhelming now) I could not enter the kitchen this weekend to manage baking my rugelach. I'm going to make them - I am! But it simply will not be this week. Hopefully next weekend I will have a kitchen and be back in business. Piggy of Piggy’s Cooking Journal chose the Rugelach this week and from the rave reviews I am reading it must be delicious. Check out her link to get the recipe and try it for yourself. Stay tuned for new pictures of the kitchen re-do. Coming next weekend.

Good luck getting through the last of the remodel, Peggy! I can't wait to see your kitchen (and your rugelach)!

Kitchen jobs can be a bit of a tough slog, but it sounds like you are in the home stretch! You'll love the rugelach when you get to it. Me, I would have times the remodel in order to miss the kugelhopf, because I'm yeast-phobic!

BTW, I know that I can just walk over and ask you, but it's so much more fun to leave a comment: did you end up going with the Ubatuba or the other one?

Tropic brown will be beautiful! We have "St. Cecelia" (I think that's it) but I know tropic brown -- it's gorgeous!

Best of luck with the remodel! I'm a fellow TWD baker, and I was thinking that it would be nice if we all could chip in and get Laurie some small token/gift for all the work she does. Would you be willing to contribute? If I can get enough people, it would only be about $1 per person. No pressure :-) Let me know! bethberg12@yahoo.com

Oh that's right... I remember now seeing photos of hubs down on hands and knees. I'll bet your kitchen is going to be so awesome. We would love to see the "work in progress" if you are inclined to post some photos. Or maybe a "Grand Reveal" like on TV. That would be fun too.

Rugelach....super simple, delicious and you will love them. Don't tell any of your friends how easy they are to make and they will think you are a magician.

I left you a comment on my blog, Peggy. I may miss out on the kugelhopf but not because I am scared. I mean, I am scared, but I'm just plain buried in deadlines, which is the reason I may have to skip - or postpone, really.
